CUC Snowy Valleys, referred to as The Hub, is a free regional study hub that provides students with access to a quiet study space, high-speed internet, computers, photocopying, printing, scanning, wrap around support and a welcoming community while they study with their education provider.

The Hub is located on the corner Capper and Wynyard Streets Tumut. Staff are available from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Registered students can access The Hub, with after-hours access, 7 days a week from 5:00am to Midnight.

The Hub is for all higher education students, Cert IV right through to PhD. If you are enrolled in a higher education course or exploring your higher education possibilities, we are here to help, take stress, and distance out of distance education. There is no cost to register to use The Hub, it is FREE!

If you are already enrolled in any Australian education provider, simply click the ‘Register Now’ button at the top of the page. We will then reach out to arrange an in-person induction to The Hub. Once you’ve completed your registration and induction, staff can issue you with after-hours access, you can use The Hub as your academic base!

• Full-time or Part-time, On-Campus, but might access during Holidays and Semester Breaks when you visit Home – YES!
• Visiting Work Placement Student – YES!

Even if you’re unsure if you’d use The Hub, why not register just in case you need us as your backup – It’s worth it!

To activate your swipe access, you will receive an email inviting you to download the Gallagher app to your phone. Once the app has been set up, your phone becomes your access pass. Simply open the app and hold your phone near the reader at the main (outside) entrance and the internal door to The Hub to gain access, your Bluetooth needs to be turned on.

The Hub is FREE for students studying through any Australian education provider, including universities, TAFE, private RTOs and professional providers.

After you have clicked on the REGISTER NOW button at the top of the page, all you need is:

• your Unique Student Identifier (USI) or you can find it here Find your USI – Unique Student Identifier
• proof of your enrolment with your education provider.

For security and student privacy reasons, only registered students may access The Hub unless prior arrangements have been made with staff.

Yes. You can use your own laptop in The Hub, free Wi-Fi is available.

We also have available for use cables to plug in your MacBook.

Yes. We aim to provide an accessible learning environment. Contact us if you have specific access requirements.

Not at all. Many of our students return to study later in life to change careers, gain qualifications or pursue personal goals.

We welcome opportunities to collaborate with schools, community groups, employers and education providers.

To maintain a clean and comfortable study environment, we ask students to eat their meals in the dedicated tearoom. Drinks and snacks are welcome in study spaces.
